Website Accessibility Statement

Accessibility

BloomBank is committed to ensuring accessibility of our website, mybloombank.com (‘Website’), to everyone, including individuals with disabilities. We are actively engaged in testing, developing and updating the Website to meet the online usability and design requirements recommended by World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in its Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (WCAG) Level AA. There are portions of the Website that may not meet the accessibility standards, specifically, areas including rich media elements using embedded YouTube video players and the Adobe Flash plug-in.

BloomBank is implementing changes to improve basic menu navigation and labeling in order to provide a simple and effortless navigation experience for visitors using screen-reading software for Web browsing. We will continue to research and implement solutions that bring our Website to exemplary level in the areas of accessible and universal design.

General Information

We follow the WCAG standards to provide content that is compatible with computer-based assistive technologies and browsers. We have added a number of accessibility features. These features complement the use of assistive technologies and help make the Website usable to the broadest possible audience, everyone from those who use assistive technologies to those with a low-end browser or computer. We don’t provide assistive technology applications or browsers. Please visit the individual manufacturer’s site for information on how to obtain those.

Once you navigate outside of the Website, our accessibility features might not necessarily be implemented.

Contact

If you have any issues using our website, or any suggestions on how accessibility may be improved, please use the 'Contact' link on every page. We also provide a link back to this Accessibility page at the bottom of each page.

We welcome feedback on how accessibility can be improved and any issues or complaints you may have.

Access Keys

Most web browsers support linking to specific pages by typing named access keys:

  • IE, Chrome, Safari, Opera 15+: [ALT] + accesskey
  • Opera prior version 15: [SHIFT] [ESC] + accesskey
  • Firefox: [ALT] [SHIFT] + accesskey

The pages on this Website use, or are being redesigned to use, the following access keys for common tasks:

  • S - Skip to Content
  • 1 - Home Page
  • 2 - Locations
  • 3 - Contact
  • 4 - Deposits
  • 5 - Lending
  • 6 - Apply
  • 7 - About
  • 8 – Disclosures
  • 9 – Privacy
  • 0 - Accessibility

All pages either contain or will contain a 'skip to content' link for users who use speech browsers or keyboard navigation who wish to avoid repeated groupings of links.

Visual Design

This site uses Cascading Style Sheets 'CSS' to control all of the presentation. Turning off the style sheet will affect the visual presentation and may affect the functionality of the site for some users.

Changing Text Sizes

This Website's CSS uses relative font sizes, compatible with the user-specified 'text size' option in visual browsers.

Links and Images

  • Necessary links were assigned 'TITLE' attributes to describe the target in greater detail. Users of assistive technology may wish to set screen reader options to take full advantage of this feature.
  • Images used in this site include a descriptive 'ALT' attribute. Those images which are purely decorative or used for layout may include a null 'ALT' attribute.

Tables

  • Screen reader table functions within screen readers may be used on the Website. The tables are properly coded to take advantage these functions.
  • Tables used in the Website include 'SUMMARY' attributes to describe the table in greater detail.
